From time to time I like to share some of my respected colleagues retreats. These are their own, personally facilitated retreats that I feel are more than worthwhile to recommend, and let people know about.
Please make sure to visit their website and contact them personally, as they are not Body of Wonder retreats. Although I am happy to provide a communication bridge.

Southern Italy ~ the land of ancient mystery schools
The caves of Matera ~ throughout time a refuge for spiritual seekers
Group size limited to 6 participants by interview. Registration by November 15th, 2017.
Space is complete at this time. Please contact if you are still interested as there is a waiting list in case of changes for participants - or if you have interest for future retreats.
A beautifully renovated cave dwelling will serve as the cradle for Continuum explorations in breath, sound and movement. Excursions to cultural, historic and artistic sites in Matera will enhance our experience.
Lodging: We have made arrangements with two locations. A family run B&B Torretta Ai Sassi & Basiliani Hotel. These ancient recently restored buildings, the Torretta and Basiliani rise over the Gravina in the suggestive setting of the Sasso Caveoso of Matera, World Heritage Site. Panoramic terraces on different levels are at guests' disposal. You are responsible for your accommodations which include breakfast. Lunch and dinner are your choice at any of the wonderful cucinas, trattorias and bars in the neighborhood.
Travel: You are also responsible for your travel plans and expenses. The nearest airport is Bari and there is shuttle service to Matera (1 hour) thru www.shuttlematera.it, a reliable private company. Purchase your flight after the registration date of November 15, 2017. Travel insurance is recommended. This workshop would combine well with travel elsewhere in Italy or Europe. Bari also has trains arriving from Rome, Florence, Bologna, Venice, Turin, Naples, and Milan.
Elaine Colandrea, whose grandparents lived about an hour from Matera before they emigrated to the US, will be your guide to experiencing the beautiful and mysterious terrain both internally with movement exploration and externally visiting the ancient remains of the rupestri (cave churches) and gravina of Matera. The retreat will include cultural excursions, private time for rest and relaxation and 22 hours of Continuum. Suggestions for reading about Matera are available.
